Hermann Thiel

1898 – 1961

Hermann Thiel, the youngest child of Peter Johannes Thiel and his first wife, was born in Elberfeld in 1898. He spent a short time as soldier during the last part of the First World War. After the war he trained as an engineer and worked for the well-known Krupp organisation in Essen in Germany and later also in Spain. He married Margarete Grein from Münster in Germany. The couple had no children.

  In later years he worked for Buderus in Wetzlar where he was killed in an accident in 1961 while performing his duties.
