Maria Margareta Thiel

Maria Margareta Thiel was born in Elberfeld in 1892. Like her sister, Luise, she also worked in her father’s Lebensheim in Elberfeld until she married at the age of 24. She and her husband, Hermann Thun, a qualified engineer from Essen in Germany, had two children. The eldest, Eva-Maria Thun, was born in 1917 and the son, Gerhard Thun, was born in 1922.

Maria passed away in 1926 in Elberfeld at the age of only 34 before her son was 4 years old. Her husband, Hermann Thun, survived her by 45 years and died in Volmarstein in Germany in 1971.
