Heinrich Ferdinand Thiel was the sixth child of Gustav Thiel and his first wife, Maria Catharina Grosssteinbeck. He was born on 7 April 1857 in Jerusalem, Palestine, and died on 2 October 1862 in Jerusalem. He was five years old.
